Prep time:

Cook time:

  • 1/2 lb flat iron steak
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to season
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 4 AIP compliant coconut wraps, we use these NUCO Organic Coconut Wraps
  • Instructions:
    1. Salt the steak on both sides.
    2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
    3. Lay the steak down in the pan and cook 5-6 minutes on each side. Try not to flip them before 4 minutes to ensure a good sear on both sides. Set steak aside and allow to cool.
    4. Add the broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and nutritional yeast to the pan over medium heat. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
    5. Divide the steak into two equal sized pieces. Place down each piece of steak at the corner of each wrap, cover with 2 tbsp of sauce, garnish with green onions, and roll the wrap tucking in the sides. Seal with water if needed.
    6. Reheat the skillet to medium. Toast each side of the wrap for 30 seconds to 1 minute, MAX. Be mindful to watch carefully as the coconut wraps toast VERY quickly on the stovetop. Serve warm.
